Complaints regarding the air conditioning of buses and trolleybuses in summer

Only 110 buses of 339 and only 45 trolleybuses of 188 have air conditioning systems. These systems work automatically, e.g. they are set to as to maintain the correct temperature. The drivers may turn on and turn off the air conditioning system and adjust the temperature. However, the conditioning system of buses / trolleybuses is unable to maintain the set temperature, as the average distance between the bus stops in the central part of city is 300-400 meters, the buses / trolleybuses stop at every 1-2 minutes and when the doors are being opened the warm air rushes inside the vehicle.

Sometimes the air conditioners get out of order during the work. In this case the drivers are obliged to ventilate the cabin of the bus / trolleybus: to open the vents, skylights and work until the end, as this is not the breakdown requiring to terminate the trip and get back to depot.
